The Silk Road Spaceship is sourcing textiles along the ancient Silk Road trade routes and collaborating with local artisans and designers to bring you beautiful treasures for challenging times.
Our Silk Road Mask Capsule is the first in what we hope to be many such products. These unique masks are hand-dyed in small batched from silk that we collected along the Silk Road. After we are happy with the colorways, we take it to one of our sewing folks, all of whom are work-at-home women based in Queens, New York. Each of them lost their primary means of employment in the Covid-19 crisis. Silk Road Spaceship offers all the flexibility and safety to be home with their families during the pandemic.
Now more than ever, we need beauty in our lives. Silk Road Spaceship endeavors to create beautiful, useful products that help us embrace this difficult time. As we continue to develop and add new products, our mission is to elevate everyone as we journey, from customer to maker, and the communities from which we hail.
