The T-Minus-One Homesteader Capsule is our love letter to our favorite textile traditions, such as crochet. Our latest creations are crocheted doilies, hand-dyed with love and care from our sewing collective, and sewn onto the sweetest popover tops you've ever seen. The Crochet Blooms Popover is no exception—burnt orange and oxblood bloom across a hydrangea blue-hued linen shibori-dyed top. Fly in the face of fast fashion and celebrate women's slow, loving work, one thread at a time.

Each Homesteader Popover is created from carefully sourced, antique textiles. Each is one of a kind. As romantic and charming as a country road, these popovers are terrific layering pieces and will transition easily from fall into spring. From the moment you put one on, you'll be transported to a simpler time, comforted by heirloom crochet, lace, and linen. Cocoon yourself in the warm embrace of the women who made something beautiful from bits and pieces of fabric, helping you always to feel at home, no matter how far away you go.

THE DETAILS:

  • One Size Fits Most ( up to 46" bust and waist)
  • Gentle to the planet. Upcycled with 100% repurposed textiles hand-picked from estate sales, flea markets, and thrift stores. We use the quilts that 'need rescuing.' They may have stains or holes, but we take great care to rework them into new garments that enhance their patina, add to their beauty, and honor the souls of the women who made them.
  • Sewn in Upstate New York by a member of the SRS sewing Collective.
  • Do Not Bleach. Dry clean or wash, inside out, on a gentle cycle and hang dry, preferably on the line, as grandma did.
